Yoga is a very therapeutic and relaxing activity. Many people only scratch the surface when it comes to yoga, however. There are various different types of yoga that can help align the soul and free the body. Specifically, Ayurveda Yoga is not does not mix two meanings of two different words together, but instead allows the two words and their meanings to work harmoniously together, creating a peaceful and calming activity that helps the body, mind and soul.

Obviously, this isn’t the only type of Yoga that you should expose yourself to, but it is a beautiful thing that can help improve the way you live immensely.

Meaning of Ayurveda

It should be noted that both Ayurveda and Yoga strive to reach similar goals. Both are used by an individual to reach alignment in many different ways. They were made to free the soul and lesser the stress that we allow ourselves to feel.

Ayurveda is more commonly known as a collective system of medicine that originates from the Indian area. Ayurveda is much more than just superficial medicine, it works towards achieving much more alignment than just physical.

The key idea behind Ayurveda is that the state of mind is the basis of health. In my opinion, this is completely true. It is important to remember that whatever you think, you become. You are your mind. Ayurveda unlocks your mind and helps set you free from the restrictions that you put on yourself, society puts on you, the world puts on you.

History of Ayurveda Yoga

Ayurveda and Yoga both originate from Indian areas. They are both very ancient, and have been practised for thousands of years. There are many different verses about Ayurveda that are similar, and that relate to verses about Yoga. This connection that both help to free the mind can be seen throughout the history of both aspects.

Ayurveda is first found in the Veda, which is the oldest existing piece of literature found on the world. It is also originally found only in the language of Sanskrit, which is an ancient Indian language. In the past, as well as now, individuals lived through Ayurveda. They treated it like a lifestyle, instead just an idea. They lived by this concept, and in turn, their lives thrived through it.

Ayurveda was originally created with the central idea being that it focuses on disorder and balance. An imbalance within your life can be extremely disastrous for an individuals lifestyle. There is more philosophy involved with Ayurveda than one would think something that is used for medical purposes would imagine.

History of Yoga

Yoga also developed within India. It was also found within the Veda, which is interesting as it shows that Yoga has been around for a long time also. Yoga has gone through many different transitions and changes throughout its history. Examples being how classical Yoga, which is the original type of Yoga, was much different than how Yoga is now. Yoga was seen less as an exercise and more as a mindset, which is still true now, however, most people tend to see Yoga as a less intense way to work out, rather than a way of thinking.

Perhaps this change is simply because Yoga became westernized, as Yoga masters started to spread their teachings to the western world during the 1800’s, which is very recent when you look at the big scheme of things.

Why practice Ayurveda Yoga Therapy?

Not just this type of Yoga, but it is important than an individual allows themselves to experience what Yoga can do for themselves, and their bodies. You should practice Ayurveda Yoga because it will relive your stress and help your mindset become free-er.

So many people live their lives within a stressful bubble. They allow themselves to be weighed down by all of the worries and bad thoughts that life gives them. This simply isn’t a good way to live, and yet we allow it. Ayurveda, and Yoga are both principals that teach people and encourage them to live without stress. This is without a doubt, the greatest way to live. We can’t live worrying about pointless things.

At the end of the day, when you pass away, no one will worry about the worries you had, or the sadness, they will only worry about you as a person and think about that. You have to make sure that you allow yourself to live without regret. Encourage yourself, find balance. This is the only way to live. To allow yourself to see a new sunrise and sunset everyday.

Happiness is the most important thing in life. Studying and becoming a student of Ayurveda Yoga will allow you to reach your own nirvana and own little place of happiness, and no one will ever be able to take that away from you.
